A table drill is a small hole processing machine tool that is compact, easy to operate, and usually installed on a dedicated workbench. The drilling diameter of desktop drilling machines is generally below 13 millimeters and generally not exceeding 25 millimeters. The spindle speed is generally achieved by changing the position of the triangular belt on the tower pulley, and the spindle feed is manually operated. Below, the editor will introduce the safe operating procedures, usage methods, and maintenance of bench drills.
1、 Safety operating procedures for desktop drilling machines
1. Operators must be familiar with the performance, purpose, and operating precautions of the machine before operating. It is strictly prohibited for novices to operate the machine alone.
2. Operators should wear appropriate clothing and are not allowed to wear gloves during operation.
3. Before starting up, check whether the voltage and frequency on the circuit board are consistent with the power supply.
4. The contact pins on the power plug and socket of the machine tool should be firm, without any looseness or poor contact.
5. Electric wires should be kept away from high temperatures, greasiness, and sharp edges. Machine tools should be grounded and the power cord on the socket should not be forcefully pulled.
6. When an accident occurs, the power should be immediately cut off before maintenance can be carried out.
7. When the machine tool is working or undergoing maintenance, protective covers should be installed around the workplace.
8. Keep the work area clean and tidy, and do not use machine tools in cluttered, damp, dimly lit, flammable and explosive areas. The operator's hair should not be too long to avoid getting entangled during operation.
9. Do not perform work beyond the maximum cutting capacity to avoid overloading the machine tool.
10. Do not operate the machine under the influence of alcohol or fatigue, keep the machine upright and do not overturn or tilt it.
11. Regularly maintain the machine, maintain the sharpness of the drill bit, and pay attention to adding cutting fluid during cutting.
12. Before use, carefully inspect the vulnerable parts of the drilling rig for timely repair or replacement.
13. When drilling holes with larger diameters, low-speed cutting should be used.
14. The handle that should be locked must be tightened before the machine starts working, and the workpiece should be securely clamped.
15. When operators need to leave their positions due to unforeseen circumstances, they must first shut down the machine and avoid chatting with others during operation.
16. When the machine operates abnormally, it should be immediately shut down and handed over to professional personnel for maintenance. During maintenance, ensure that the power is disconnected.
17. Before leaving work, it is necessary to clean up the dust around the machine, and no dust is allowed to accumulate on the motor. Daily maintenance work of the equipment should be carried out.
18. This machine is a specialized machinery for dedicated personnel. Non operators are strictly prohibited from starting and operating it. Any consequences resulting from the operator's insistence on operating it will be at their own risk.
2、 Table drill maintenance and cleaning:
1. Clean up debris on the countertop promptly after work is completed
2. Regularly inject oil into the spindle and chuck
3. Regularly check the tension of the spindle belt
4. When not in use for a long time, apply butter to the surface to prevent rusting
5. Regularly clean the burrs on the surface of the chuck
